Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive Delhi
On your arrival at Delhi International Airport, you will be met by our
company representatives and transferred to the hotel.
Overnight stay will be at Delhi.
Day 02: Delhi - Agra
After breakfast, enjoy a daylong sightseeing tour of Delhi. Visit the
magnificent Red Fort and Jama Masjid in Old Delhi and
drive past to Rashtrapati Bhawan, India Gate and
diplomatic enclaves to Qutub Minar in New Delhi. Delhi, the
capital city of India, also happens to be one of the oldest cities of
the world with a history dating back to thousands of years. Today,
Delhi is a vibrant city representing a fine blend of modernity and
tradition and regarded as the most important gateway to the beautiful
India.
In the late afternoon, we drive to Agra (201 km- 4 hrs). Arrive at
Agra and check into the hotel. Overnight stay will be at Agra.
Day 03: Agra - Umaria
Enjoy an early morning visit to the enchanting Taj Mahal-
considered as the most beautiful monument in the world- to see Taj at
sunrise. Later, visit the magnificent Agra Fort.
Situated on the banks of the river Yamuna, Agra is one of the most
important historic cities of India. The city was the capital of India
during the rule of three most famous Mughal rulers - Akbar, Jehangir
and Shah Jehan.
Afternoon, in time (15:50 hrs) transfer to railway station, to board
an overnight train for Umaria. Overnight will be on the train.
Day 04: Umaria - Bandhavgarh National Park
Arrive early morning (06:15 hrs) at Umaria and we drive to
Bandhavgarh National Park- one of the most famous and picturesque
tiger reserves of India. Arrive and check into a Jungle Lodge /
Resort. In the afternoon, enjoy an exciting Jeep Safari in the
forests for wildlife viewing and tiger tracking.
Overnight stay will be at Bandhavgarh National Park.
Day 05: Bandhavgarh - Kanha National Park
Enjoy an early morning Jeep Safari in the lush forests to explore an
amazing variety of wildlife and birds in the Park. Thereafter, we
drive to Kanha National Park, another beautiful and famous tiger
reserve of India. Arrive at Kanha and check into the Forest Lodge /
Resort.
Overnight stay will be at Kanha National Park.
Day 06: Kanha National Park
After breakfast, enjoy a morning Elephant Safari through the
scenic landscape of Kanha to explore its enchanting surroundings and
amazing wildlife. In the afternoon, enjoy an exciting Jeep Safari
through the forests for wildlife viewing and tiger tracking.
Overnight stay will be at Kanha National Park.
Day 07: Kanha - Kawardha
Enjoy an early morning Jeep Safari in the Park to explore its
rich and diverse flora and fauna. Thereafter, we drive to Kawardha in
Chhattisgarh. Arrive at Kawardha and check into the beautiful Kawardha
Palace.
After freshen up, enjoy an exciting and memorable trip to the
surrounding tribal villages, along with one of the royal family member
of Kawardha. Here, you will have your first glimpse of tribal life of
the famous Bastar region.
Overnight stay will be at Kawardha Palace.
Day 08: Kawardha - Kanker
Today after breakfast, we drive through the tribal country to Kanker
(251 km - 7 hrs). The virgin, enchantingly beautiful and untouched
tribal landscape will make you feel like being in paradise itself.
Arrive at Kanker and check into the beautiful Kanker Palace.
After freshen up, explore the lush green surroundings of the Palace.
Overnight stay will be at Kanker Palace.
Day 09: Kanker - Jagdalpur
Today after breakfast, we drive to Jagdalpur (120km-3hrs), regarded as
the heartland of the Bastar tribes. Arrive at Jagdalpur and check into
the Hotel. After freshen up, enjoy an afternoon visit to the famous
Anthropological Museums. In the evening, explore the enchantingly
beautiful lush green surroundings of Jagdalpur.
Overnight stay will be at Jagdalpur.
Day 10: Jagdalpur
After breakfast, enjoy a daylong visit to the different tribal
villages. The unique tribes of the region are known for their own
indigenous culture of spirits, deities, dialects, customs and food
habits.
Overnight stay will be at Jagdalpur.
Day 11: Jagdalpur
After breakfast today, we start our day to discover the rich tribal
arts and crafts of the region. Visit the famous markets and know some
of the traditional arts and crafts of Bastar, which ranges from
woodcraft to terracotta, tribal weaving to Bhatti-chitra (traditional
wall paintings), stone carving to bell metal craft, Iron craft and the
bamboo crafts. These crafts reflect the subtle creativity, inventive
genius and the imagination of the local craftsmen, who have tried to
retain the original purity of perception and core-concepts governing
the life styles of their ethos.
Overnight stay will be at Jagdalpur.
Day 12: Jagdalpur
Today after breakfast, we will explore the lush green forests of the
tribal belt. Spend the full day walking through the lush green
landscape of the tribal countryside and exploring the rich and diverse
flora and fauna of the region.
Overnight stay will be at Jagdalpur.
Day 13: Jagdalpur - Raipur
After breakfast, we'll proceed back to Raipur by road (220 km-5 hrs).
Enroute, enjoy a visit to Rajim, popularly known as the
Varanasi of Chhattisgarh. Arrive Raipur and check-in at hotel.
Overnight stay will be at Raipur.
Day 14: Raipur - Delhi
After breakfast, in time (09:00/11:35 hrs) transfer to airport to
board a flight (IC-7470) for Delhi. Arrive at Delhi and check into the
hotel and relax. Enjoy dinner at Hotel.
Day 15: Delhi - Tour Concludes
After dinner in time transfer to airport to board an early morning
flight (Day 15) for your onward destination or way back home with
